Henrietta Lacks (1920 - 1951) passed away peacefully on October 4th, 1951. Born in Roanoke, Virginia, she was the youngest daughter of Eliza and Johnny Pleasant. She was an active member of the church, and had a passion for helping others. She is remembered fondly by all those who knew her - as a vibrant, compassionate, and loving mother and wife. Henrietta is survived by her sons, Lawrence and David; her daughters, Elsie and Deborah; and her husband, Day. She also leaves behind her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, cousins, nieces, and nephews. She will be greatly missed.
