Ronald was a prominent American actor, known for his roles in movies like Where's Poppa? (1970), Norma Rae (1979), and his Emmy Award-winning performance in the short-lived series "Kaz" (1978-79). On Broadway, he appeared in the original production of Angels in America (1993).
His television credits included recurring and guest roles in "Friends," "Law & Order: Criminal Intent" and "The Sopranos," as well as series regular and starring roles on "Love, Sidney," "London Suite," "Brooklyn Bridge," "Rachel Gunn, R.N.," and "Damages." His movie credits included The Architect (2006), Nurse Betty (2000), Slaughterhouse-Five (1972), and Garden State (2004).
Ronald was an active philanthropist, involved with a number of organizations and causes, such as the Motion Picture & Television Fund, the Actor's Fund of America, and St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
He will be remembered most for his decades-long dedication to the field of acting, crafting characters and performances that touched fans and colleagues alike.
Ronald is survived by his wife, the actress Jessica Walter, and his daughter, actress Sarina Leibman. Additionally, he is survived by his grandchildren, cousins, and many close friends.
