With great sadness, the world mourns the loss of Constantine "Cus" D'Amato, a man whose influence on sports, boxing, and the coaching profession will be remembered for generations to come. D'Amato was born in 1909 in The Bronx, New York. He began his career as a boxer in the 1930s, but quickly turned to managing fighters and eventually coaching them as well. His success came with coaching many world champions, including Muhammad Ali, Floyd Patterson, and Mike Tyson. During his managerial career, he trained fighters to win an impressive 81 titles. D'Amato's legacy extends far beyond the boxing world. He inspired many with his strong leadership style and motivational teachings. He championed for challenges and believed that with hard work and dedication, anything was possible. His immense influence on athletes and coaches was unsurpassed. He is survived by many friends, family members, and inspiring athletes who will always remember the impact D'Amato had on them. Cus D'Amato passed away on November 4th, 1985 at the age of 77. He will be deeply missed.
