Barry White, who was internationally recognized for his baritone crooning, passed away on July 4, 2003. He was 58 years old. White was known for his trademark harmonies and deep bass-baritone vocals. He rose to prominence in the 1970s with hit recordings such as “Love’s Theme”, “Can’t Get Enough of Your Love, Babe”, and “You’re the First, The Last, My Everything”. White went on to create a long-lasting career, selling over 100 million records worldwide. He was inducted into the Dance Music Hall of Fame in 2004 and received numerous awards including two Platinum and five Gold Certifications. He is survived by his seven children and wife Glodean White, whom he married in 1974. White will be fondly remembered for his legendary soul music standards that will live on far into the future.
