William Conrad, age 73, died on February 11, 1994. He was a prolific actor and director during his lifetime and had a long, successful career in his various fields of work. Mr. Conrad began his acting career in radio drama during the 1950s and was successful enough to become a household name. Over time he became best known for his countless roles in television shows. Some of his most memorable roles were as Matt Dillon in 'Gunsmoke', as police chief Cannon in 'Cannon' and as narrator and protagonist in 'The Fugitive'. As a director, Mr. Conrad's credits include 'Hawaiian Eye' and the legendary 'The Wild Wild West'. He also worked as a voice actor for many years, providing voices for characters in animated classics such as 'The Smurfs' and 'The Jetsons'. Mr. Conrad's long and successful career in entertainment will be remembered by fans far and wide.
