The German Imperial Crown Prince, Wilhelm, son of Kaiser Wilhelm II and Empress Augusta Victoria, died on July 20th, 1951, at 69 years old. Wilhelm was a German Field Marshal in World War I and was born in Potsdam in 1882. He served in both the army and navy and was widely popular and respected for his heroism in the war. Wilhelm often spoke out against the political system and restrictions of the monarchy. By the end of his life, he was known as a staunch defender of German unity, national pride, and patriotism. He was survived by his widow, Hermine Reuss of Greiz, and his three children, Prince Louis Ferdinand, Princess Victoria Marina, and Princess Wilhelmine Charlotte. Wilhelm's legacy will be remembered for years to come, for his dedication to his country, and his courage to stand up for what he believed was right.
