Steve Jobs, the American businessman, inventor, and co-founder of Apple Inc., died on October 5, 2011, at the age of 56. Born on February 24, 1955, in San Francisco, California, Jobs created a vast array of innovative products. He founded Apple Inc., a technology company, in 1976 with friend Steve Wozniak. Jobs was known for bringing the world groundbreaking products such as the Apple II, the Macintosh, the iPod, the iPhone, and the iPad. Jobs’ influence extended beyond technology as his designs, creative marketing strategies, and corporate creativity set a new standard for businesses. Jobs left Apple Inc. in 1985, shifting his attention to the development of Pixar Animation Studios, which produced groundbreaking animated films such as "Toy Story." He remained the majority shareholder at Pixar until it was bought by The Walt Disney Company in 2006. Jobs returned to Apple Inc. in 1997 and became the company’s permanent CEO in 2000. Under Jobs’ leadership, Apple Inc. grew into an internationally renowned company, and in 2010, it was named the world’s most valuable technology company. Jobs was married to Laurene Powell from 1991 until his death. He also had four children. Despite years of battling health issues, Jobs was known for his continuous efforts to push the boundaries of innovation throughout his lifetime. His legacy lives on through all of the products and ideas he helped bring to life.
