Naomi Judd, celebrated singer and actress, passed away on April 30, 2022, at the age of 76. Naomi was born in 1946 in Ashland, Kentucky to Charles Glenn Judd and Pauline Judd, and was raised in their hometown of Ashland. She was a prolific entertainer, known for her Grammy Award-winning work with daughter Wynonna Judd, their record-breaking music career and her many film, TV and stage roles, both with and without Wynonna. Naomi starred in several films, including her self-penned first feature, 'Love Can Build A Bridge', and later, 'Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood'. Naomi was also remembered for her appearances on TV shows such as 'Crossing Jordan' and 'Second Chances', along with her numerous appearances on awards stages, television performances, print, radio and music videos. Her philanthropic message, “Love Can Build A Bridge”, was carried throughout her career and embraced as a philanthropic tagline. Naomi was also a gifted writer, a breath of fresh air on the TED - Technology and Entertainment Design - stage, and also wrote Top 10 books such as 'Love Can Build A Bridge' and her inspiring memoir, 'Love Old, Live New – Re-Energize Your Life and Your Spirit'. Naomi leaves behind an impressive legacy of music and life accomplishments, and a world whose hearts have been deeply impacted by her life’s message of love.
