Born Norma Jeane Mortenson in Los Angeles, California, on June 1, 1926, Monroe became an international icon throughout her career, becoming a symbol of glamour, fame, and sensuality. She was known for her infectious smile and was one of the most versatile actors of the 1950s and early 1960s. Monroe’s stellar film career featured hit movies such as “Gentlemen Prefer Blondes”, “How To Marry A Millionaire”, and “The Seven Year Itch”. Her comedic timing and acting range soon made her one of the most bankable stars in the world at her peak.
