Christopher Alan “Chris” Pallies, better known by his professional wrestling moniker King Kong Bundy, died on Tuesday, March 4, 2019 at the age of 61. Pallies was known for his towering stature of 6 ft 4 in, bald head, size-54 black and yellow wrestling boots, and catchphrase “Avenge me!” Pallies was born on November 7, 1957 in Atlantic City, New Jersey. On December 9, 1981, he made his debut during a match against cardboard champion Sal Bellomo. With a career that spanned over 20 years, Paiiles become one of the biggest and most recognizable professional wrestlers, competing in various World Wrestling Federation (WWF) activities such as WrestleMania I and II, Primetime Wrestling, Saturday Night’s Main Event, and The Wrestling Classic. He retired in 2003. During his life, Pallies appeared on numerous television shows and movies, including The Weird Al Show, The Equalizer, Matlock, and Married with Children. Pallies was preceded in death by his father John Pallies. He is survived by his mother Evelyn, his wife Janet, his son Christopher, and his daughter Katelynn.
