It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Keith Moon, on September 7th, 1978. Keith, known and beloved throughout the world as the drummer of The Who, was just 32 when he left us. Keith was born in London in 1946, and grew up in a musical family. His distinctive style of drumming, which relied heavily on crashing cymbals and speedy fills, soon caught the attention of other musicians. He joined The Who while still in his teens, and played with them for over a decade. During this time, he was a driving force behind the band's innovation in the studio, lending his signature sound to many of their hits. His playful onstage antics and wild behavior often stole the show, bringing much joy to his fans. Keith will be remembered for the incredible talent he brought to rock & roll, and for his undeniable charisma which made him a beloved figure in the industry. He will live on through the lasting legacy of his music. May he rest peacefully in the embrace of his beloved father and mother.
