It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jennifer Kendal, born August 6th, 1933 to Thomas and Margaret Kendal in London, England. Beloved wife to Ronald Kendal, mother to Felicity, Miranda, India, and Rupert Kendal. Jennifer acted in some of the best and most remembered British films, including The Naked Edge, Steptoe and Son Ride Again, and Thief of Baghdad. She was one of the few talented female leads of her time, eventually winning the National Board of Review of Motion Pictures Award for Best Actress for her performance in Shakespeare-Wallah. Jennifer was an active and engaged member of the theater and film community. She worked to support countless charitable causes. She will be remembered for her infectious energy, her impressive contributions to theater and film, and her compassion for those in need. Jennifer passed away on September 7th, 1984 at the age of 51. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and the entire theater and film community.
