Betty White, beloved Emmy award-winning actress, comedienne, and author, passed away on December 31, 2021 at the age of 99. Ms. White enjoyed a long entertainment career that spanned over 70 years. She appeared in numerous films, television shows, and theatre productions, including her iconic roles as Rose Nylund on The Golden Girls and Sue Ann Nivens on The Mary Tyler Moore Show. Throughout her career, she received six Emmy Awards, the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Screen Actors Guild, the Lifetime Achievement Award from the American Comedy Awards, and several entries in the Guinness Book of World Records. Ms. White was an author, publishing a book, Here We Go Again: My Life in Television, and was a beloved animal rights activist. Her philanthropy efforts included volunteer work at her local animal shelter and support for organizations such as the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.
