William Howard Taft was the 27th President of the United States, serving from 1909 to 1913. He was the heaviest president in history, weighing in at over 300 pounds. He was also the only president to serve as both Chief Justice of the United States and Speaker of the House of Representatives. Taft died in Washington D.C. on March 8, 1930, at the age of 72.
