It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Warren Oates, who died on April 3rd, 1982, at the age of 53. Warren was born in Depoy, Kentucky, and was a highly sought-after actor beginning in 1960, making an impact in the independent film world. He would go on to star in over one hundred films and television episodes, leaving an indelible mark on the industry. Some of his most notable work was as Captain Richard Garet in the classic "The Wild Bunch", Sgt. Hulka in "Stripes", and Doc Wallace in "Bring Me the Head of Alfredo Garcia". His intense performances and dedication to his craft made him a true favorite amongst fans. In addition to his acting career, Warren was a car enthusiast and a dealer of many kinds of motor vehicles. He was generous, kind, and always willing to lend a helping hand whenever he could. He was an incredible father, husband and friend, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Warren is survived by his wife, Sally, and his sons, Will and Walker.
