On December 15th, 1966, the world suffered the great loss of one of its own, Walter Elias Disney. He died at the age of 65. Disney was an American entrepreneur and film producer, and was noted as a pioneer in the animation industry, as well as being a philanthropist and voice actor. He was known as an innovator in his day and age, with incomparable creative vision. Disney, a beloved figure, is remembered for the impact his creations have had on generations. His star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame continues to bring smiles to faces and is seen as a reminder of the incredible legacy he left behind. None can deny that the world has been impacted dramatically by Disney, who continues to be celebrated, even after his death, through his many works of art. Walt Disney's infamous works of art, such as Mickey Mouse, Snow White and The Lion King, are part of the world's collective culture and will be forever cherished. Though gone, Disney's legacy in animation will live on, inspiring young minds for generations to come. He will be deeply missed by the many people whose lives he touched.
