On October 25, 1993, the world mourned the passing of Vincent Price, a beloved actor and philanthropist. Vincent Price was born in St. Louis, Missouri on May 27, 1911. He had a successful career in acting, with notable roles in theatre, film, and television. His vast filmography includes iconic titles such as The Raven, House of Usher, and Edward Scissorhands. He also gave his voice to a variety of memorable roles, including the Narrator for Michael Jackson’s Thriller. In addition to his acting career, Price was an avid art collector. He also served as a trustee for the Outward Bound USA program for over 35 years and was appointed by US President Ronald Reagan as Chairman of the Board of Creative and Performing Arts in the 1980s. Vincent Price will be remembered for his love of art, his passion for the creative and performing arts, and his numerous contributions to film and television. He will be dearly missed.
