Tyrone Power, the popular American actor, died on November 15, 1958, at 44 years old. Power was born in Cincinnati, Ohio in 1914. He then moved to Los Angeles and entered Hollywood in 1931, securing a three-year contract with Fox Studio. Power quickly rose to stardom, and won a Golden Globe for his performance in the movie The Razor's Edge in 1946. His Hollywood career spanned 25 years, in which he acted in over 40 films, such as Blood and Sand, Witness for the Prosecution, The Mark of Zorro, and The Black Swan. During the World War II, Power enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. He also volunteered to perform in a national tour of Johnny Belinda, a play about an innocent raped deaf-mute. He is remembered for his good looks, charm, and charisma that made him well-loved within the industry and by moviegoers. He is survived by his wife, Deborah Ann Minardos, and two daughters, Romina and Taryn. Tyrone Power will be remembered for generations to come, as one of the greatest and most beloved stars of Hollywood.
