Theodore Roosevelt Jr., one of America’s greatest heroes, passed away on July 12, 1944 at 56 years old. Born in 1887, Roosevelt was the only son of former US President Theodore Roosevelt. He graduated from Harvard University, and joined the US Army in 1911. During World War I, Roosevelt served valiantly and was awarded the Medal of Honor for his services in the Battle of Normandy. After the war, Roosevelt worked in the insurance and real-estate industries. He was also active in the Roosevelt family politics and served in various public offices. Most notably, he was a New York State Assemblyman. Roosevelt's heroic actions in World War I and his public service will always be remembered and honored. He leaves behind a legacy of patriotism and courage. He will be deeply missed by his loved ones, family, and friends.
