Tawny Kitaen, actress and model best known for her work in the 1980s, passed away on 2021-05-07 at the age of 59. Born Julie E. Kitaen on 5th August 1961, in San Diego, California. Kitaen grew up with a passion for music, stage craft and animals. Throughout her adult life she starred in classic films such as 'Bachelor Party', and 'Witchboard'. She was also featured in many music videos throughout the 1980s, including "Cherry Pie" and "Here I Go Again" by Whitesnake, and "Is This Love" by Bob Marley. In addition to her acting and modelling work, she was also a writer and had several books published. Kitaen was an animal rights activist and was actively involved in causes to improve animal welfare and rescue. Kitaen was diagnosed with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) in the late 2000s, and subsequently passed away from respiratory complications. She will be remembered for her tremendous accomplishments and many contributions to the entertainment industry, and her generous heart for animals. She is survived by her two daughters and will be sorely missed.
