Steven Reeves (1926-2000) an American bodybuilding and movie star, passed away on May 1, 2000 at the age of 74. Reeves was born in 1926 in Montana and his family eventually moved to California. He went on to attend Fresno State College, where he was scouted to enter the bodybuilding world of the 1950s. Steven Reeves is known as one of the most influential bodybuilders of his time, and is credited with popularizing the sport. He began entering competitions, eventually winning the 1951 and 1953 Mr. Universe titles. His success in the bodybuilding world led him to be offered countless roles in Hollywood. His most popular roles were in movies such as Hercules, Hercules Unchained and The White Warrior. Steven Reeves was an incredible actor and bodybuilder who left an indelible mark on the film and bodybuilding industry. He will be missed greatly by his friends and family.
