Stella Stevens, an iconic actress in both film and television, passed away peacefully on February 17th, 2023 at the age of 86. Throughout her career, Stella was an accomplished performer who was well-known for her roles in such films as Girls! Girls! Girls! (1962), The Nutty Professor (1963), and The Courtship of Eddie's Father (1963). Her success in television was equally impressive, with standout performances in Alfred Hitchcock Presents (1959–62), The Girl from U.N.C.L.E. (1966–67) and The Love Boat (1977–84). A native of Yazoo City, Mississippi, she graduated from Memphis State University before moving to New York to pursue a career in acting and modeling. Throughout her life, she was an advocate for the film industry and women’s rights. Stella Stevens was admired by fans and her peers alike for her body of work and for the courage she displayed both on and off the screen. She will be remembered and celebrated for her indelible mark on the entertainment industry.
