Stanley Ho was a Hong Kong business magnate who made his fortune in the real estate, hospitality and entertainment businesses throughout Asia. Born into a wealthy family in 1921, he graduated from Hong Kong University in 1944. Over the course of his career, Ho was the founder of his own conglomerate, the Sociedade de Turismo e Diversões de Macau (STDM). This company became involved in businesses ranging from gambling, hotels, transportation, retail, trading, and more, with some of them having gone public. His influence extended beyond business and included philanthropy. He donated to education, the arts, and other social activities. He was also known for his hobbies, which included horse racing and piano playing. He leaves behind a wife and his 16 children. May his memory be a blessing.
