Spiro Theodore Agnew, age 77, of Rancho Mirage, CA, passed away on September 17th, 1996. Spiro was born in Baltimore, MD, and graduated from John Hopkins University. He served his country with distinction in World War II, and went on to become a prominent lawyer. Spiro had a distinguished political career, serving as Executive Vice President of the United States from 1969 to 1973 under President Richard Nixon. He also served as the Governor of Maryland from 1967 to 1969. Spiro was a knowledgeable and respected politician, actively involved in government and civil society. He will be remembered for his commitment to public service. He is survived by his wife Martha Agnew and three children. We remember his life with love and admiration.
