On November 28th, 2008, Sandeep Unnikrishnan passed away at the age of 31. Sandeep was born in 1977 and grew up in Bangalore, India. He was a member of the India National Cadet Corps and graduated from the National Defense Academy in 2004. He was very passionate about his career in the Indian Army and worked there until his death. In 2004, Sandeep was invited to join the prestigious Special Action Group of the National Security Guards. In 2008, he was part of the security team at the Taj Mahal Palace Hotel in Mumbai, and sacrificed his life during the terrorist attacks at the hotel. Sandeep Unnikrishnan was a brave soldier and an example for many. His courage and dedication to keep his country safe will not be forgotten. He will be dearly missed by his family, friends, and colleagues.
