Rush Limbaugh, the nationally recognized radio broadcaster, author, and political commentator, passed away on 2021-02-17, at the age of 70. Limbaugh had a long and successful career in radio, beginning in 1971 at KGMO, a radio station in Missouri. His success led to his nationally syndicated talk show beginning in 1988, which began its run as the highest radio talk show in the US. He wrote several books as well, four of which became The New York Times bestsellers. Limbaugh spoke honestly and passionately about politics, frequently stirring up controversy. He was awarded by the Radio Hall of Fame, the Marconi Award, the Ellis Island Medal of Honor, and National Association of Broadcasters' Marconi Radio Award. Though Limbaugh left a lasting legacy, he will be remembered for being an expansive source of knowledge, a keen political analyst, and a powerful presence in talk radio.

Death must be so beautiful. To lie in the soft brown earth, with the grasses waving above one’s head, and listen to silence. To have no yesterday, and no to-morrow. To forget time, to forget life, to be at peace. Oscar Wilde
