Roger Rees (1944 - 2015) Roger Rees, beloved actor and director, passed away on July 10th, 2015 at the age of 71. Roger was born and educated in the United Kingdom, and he made his Broadway debut in 1975. He starred in a multitude of plays and musicals throughout his career, most notably The Rescuers, The Threepenny Opera, and The Winslow Boy. He also performed in several films, including Robin Hood: Men in Tights, The Prestige and The Dog with the Ball. A leader in his field, he was the recipient of an Olivier Award and an Emmy Award for his performances. In recent years Roger directed a number of productions for the Royal Shakespeare Company and the Old Vic. He also served as a professor of acting at the Institute for Collaborative Theater. Roger will be dearly missed by his family, friends and colleagues.
