Rodney Alcala, a former resident of California, passed away peacefully on July 24, 2021, at the age of 77. Rodney was born October 24, 1943, in San Antonio, Texas. He moved to Los Angeles, California in 1960 to attend college at UCLA. After college, Rodney worked as a typesetter and photographer before being convicted of multiple murders in 1979. He was known as the "Dating Game Killer" due to his appearance as a contestant on the show "The Dating Game" in 1978. Rodney was an inmate in the California prison system at the time of his passing. He is survived by his two sisters, who remember him as a challenging but close sibling. Rodney will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. May he rest in peace.
