Rod Taylor, an acclaimed actor in both television and film, died on January 7, 2015 at the age of 84. Taylor was born in Australia on January 11, 1930. He began his career as an actor in 1950s, and soon became a mainstay in the world of film and television. Throughout his career, Taylor worked alongside an impressive cast of co-stars, including Elizabeth Taylor, Rock Hudson, and Jimmy Stewart. Taylor is best known for his iconic roles in films such as The Time Machine (1960), Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds (1962), and Donovan's Reef (1963). He also had a notable career in television, appearing in shows such as Hong Kong (1960–1961), Bearcats! (1971), The Oregon Trail (1977), and Outlaws (1986). Taylor is survived by his four children, Felicia, Hugh, Veronique, and Tanya. He will be remembered as a committed actor with a career that spanned over five decades.
