We are deeply saddened to announce the death of Robert Shaw on August 28, 1978, at the age of 51. Born in Scotland in 1927, Robert was an esteemed actor, writer, and lecturer. After relocating to Canada in 1938, Robert moved to Ireland in the late 1940s where he began his career in films and theater. His work led to him to be recognised as one of the most outstanding actors of his generation. He won praise for his work in both British and Irish productions, including 'The Man in the Glass Booth' and 'The Maids'. Throughout the years he wrote several books, lectured around the world and kept a private consulting business. Robert's life will forever be remembered for his success and his impact on the film industry. He is survived by his family, friends, and colleagues, who are all deeply mourning his passing.
