Richard Donner, one of Hollywood's most renowned directors, has died at the age of 91. Born in New York City, New York, on April 24th, 1930, Donner achieved success as a director of feature films, television shows, and music videos. His career began in the 1950s and lasted more than 50 years. Donner directed such acclaimed films as The Omen (1976), The Goonies (1985), and the Lethal Weapon series (1987-1998). His other works include Superman (1978), Maverick (1994), and Scrooged (1988). Donner also won a Primetime Emmy Award for his work directing MacGyver (1985-1992). Donner was known for being a collaborative director who brought many different talents and skill sets to the projects he worked on. Many of his works are considered classics of their respective genres. Donner was preceded in death by his former wife, Danielle Aubuchon, in 2013. He is survived by his two children, Richard and Lauren Donner.
