Rich Piana, an icon in the bodybuilding community, passed away on August 25th, 2017 at the age of 46. Born in California, Rich moved to Florida at the age of 17 and soon established himself in the fitness scene. His bodybuilding career took off in 1989, when he won the Mr. California competition. Over the next 26 years, he competed in many more bodybuilding shows and was awarded several honors, including the Arnold Classic in 2001 and the E.M.I.A. in 2005. He was well-recognized for his innovative training techniques, in-depth knowledge of nutrition, and commitment to educating others in the bodybuilding community. Rich was also the founder and CEO of several nutrition-related business projects, and created many popular health and fitness products. He was remembered for his effortless and natural passion for bodybuilding. He is survived by his family and friends.
