Rasual Butler, born on May 23, 1979, passed away on January 31, 2018 at the age of 38. He had a long professional basketball career in the NBA, being drafted in 2002 as a 2nd round pick by the Miami Heat. During his career he played for numerous teams, ending his career with the Washington Wizards in the 2016-17 season. Off the court, Butler was an active philanthropist and supported several charities in his hometown. He was also an aspiring vocalist and musician, displaying his talents at events during his career. Butler will be remembered fondly by family, friends, and the basketball community.
