On July 26th, 2023, Randy Meisner, a popular musician and songwriter, passed away at the age of 77. Born in 1948 in Scottsbluff, Nebraska, Randy was best known for being the original bassist of and a founding member of the Eagles, an American rock band formed in Los Angeles, California in 1971. He was part of the band from 1971 to 1977 and was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1998 with them. He co-wrote three of their most famous songs, "Take it to the Limit", "Peaceful Easy Feeling", and "Best of My Love", and was testimony to the band's country and easy listening sound. Randy also had a successful solo career, with his self titled solo album created in 1978, and subsequent releases throughout his career. He released five albums over a 15 year period. Randy will be dearly missed by friends, family, and fans.
