Phillip Hughes, beloved cricketer and friend, passed away on the 27th of November 2014 at the age of 25. Phillip was born on 30th of November 1988 to parents Greg and Virginia Hughes. He began playing cricket at the age of four under the influence of his older brother, Jason. His career with cricket took off when he made his first-grade debut in November 2005, at the age of 16. Phillip made his debut for Australia against Sri Lanka in February 2013. He went on to become the youngest player to score two centuries in back-to-back test matches and had begun making his mark in the international cricketing world prior to his untimely death. Phillip will be remembered by those who knew him for his enthusiasm for the game, his remarkable talent and the love he had for his family and friends. He will be deeply missed.
