Paul Lynde, actor and comedian, passed away on January 10, 1982 at the age of 55. He began his career in Hollywood in the 1950s, most notably appearing in the hit comedy film "Bye Bye Birdie" as Harry McAfee. Later in his career he appeared on several television shows including "Bewitched," "The Hollywood Squares," and the Broadway musical "An Evening with John Denver and The Muppets at Walt Disney World." Lynde was well-known for his trademark wit and deadpan delivery and starred in many on-screen and stage projects throughout his lifetime. He is survived by his wife Florence Lyman-Soderquist, his sister Martha Bowles, and his daughter Crissy.
