Natalie Cole, a nine-time Grammy Award-winning singer, songwriter and performer, passed away at the age of 65 on December 31, 2015. Born as a daughter of the legendary singer Nat "King" Cole in Los Angeles, California, Natalie enjoyed a lifelong career steeped in music. She released her debut LP Inseparable in 1975, and quickly followed it up with the iconic album Unforgettable... With Love in 1992, an album which featured modernized recordings of songs made famous by her late father that featured Natalie's own twist. Cole was an eight-time Grammy Award winner and had achieved chart-topping success with her hit singles "This Will Be (An Everlasting Love)" and "Pink Cadillac." She also performed with the likes of Barbara Streisand, B.B. King, and Ray Charles, and was recognized by the Society of Singers with their inaugural Ella Award in 2009. Natalie Cole is preceded in death by her father Nat "King" Cole. She will be remembered fondly by fans and loved ones in the music world.
