Michel Lotito, 57, passed away on June 25, 2007. He was born in France on November 15, 1950. His incredible feat of consuming items normally deemed inedible or indigestible, made him a celebrity who went by the nickname "Monsieur Mangetout" ("Mr. Eat-It-All" in English). According to The Record newspaper in Bergen County, New Jersey, Lotito had consumed almost 20 tons of metal and other non-food articles since 1966. Scientists believe that his extreme dietary habits could be attributed to a disorder known as pica, during which victims exhibit an abnormal appetite for ingestion of non-food items. Lotito was featured in newspapers and tabloids throughout the world and in one of the Guiness World Records for his unusual eating habits. We remember him as a unique individual who was willing to put himself out there and entertain. He will be remembered for his incredible and one-of-a-kind abilities.
