Mako, 72, a cherished soul who touched the lives of many, passed away peacefully on July 21, 2006. Born in 1934, Mako filled his life with a legacy of service and love. A devoted husband, loving father, and dear friend, he will be remembered for his kind disposition, compassionate spirit, and warm empathy. Mako had an unwavering passion for learning, which led him to be an accomplished academic. His brilliant mind was expressed in languages, mathematics, music, philosophy, science, and literature. He nurtured a love of knowledge and shared it with those around him, always willing to lend an ear and open heart. A generous and selfless soul, Mako willingly devoted his time to the betterment of his community, actively supporting projects focused on children, the elderly, and the environment. He is survived by his wife, children, and the countless others whose lives he enriched. He will remain with us all in spirit.
