Lee Thompson Young (1984–2013) passed away peacefully on August 19th, 2013 at the age of 29. A native of Columbia, SC, Lee started his acting career in 1997 with his role as a child actor in the television show Steve Harvey Show. A few years later, he received critical acclaim for his teen drama film, Friday Night Lights. Lee also had a starring role in the Disney Channel series The Famous Jett Jackson. Lee's remarkable talent was also showcased in several feature films, shorts, and television series, such as Akeelah and the Bee, Smallville, Rizzoli & Isles, Scrubs, South Beach, and The Guardian. He will be remembered as a thoroughly professional actor, with a deep love for his work, and immense respect for his colleagues. He will be deeply missed by his fans, friends, loved ones, and all who enjoyed his exceptional gifts and inspiring insights on life.
