Kurt Georg Kiesinger, a former German politician and lawyer, passed away on 1988-03-09 at age 83. In his lifetime, Kiesinger served as Chancellor of West Germany from 1966 to 1969, the Minister of Defense from 1965 to 1966, and the Minister of the Interior from 1961 to 1966. He was a member of the Christian Democratic Union (CDU) and was a prominent political figure noted for his efforts in foreign and domestic policy. Kiesinger graduated with a law degree from the Ludwig Maximilian University in Munich and went on to serve in many leadership roles. He was held in high regard by his colleagues for his commitment to advancing the development of Germany and ensuring the country's place in international affairs. His legacy will be remembered by those he served for his many accomplishments and contributions to Germany's political landscape.
