Kirstie Alley (December 12, 1951 - December 5, 2022) died peacefully at the age of 71. She was an American actress known for her starring roles in films such as Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan, Look Who's Talking and Drop Dead Gorgeous. In addition to her extensive film career, Alley was also known for her work in television, including her starring role in the sitcom Cheers for which she won an Emmy and Golden Globe. She also had significant roles on the shows Veronica's Closet and Fat Actress. Alley was a staunch advocate for animal rights, having received PETA's Humanitarian of the Year award for her work with animal sanctuaries. She is survived by her two children, two grandchildren, and her four siblings.
