It is with great sadness that the friends and family of Kim Joo-hyuk mourn his passing on October 30, 2017, at 45 years of age. Kim Joo-hyuk was born in Seoul, South Korea, and made enormous contributions to Korean culture through his acting and modeling. Kim pursued acting from an early age and became a household name in South Korea for his roles in many beloved films and television series, including Spiral, Hypnotized, Heaven’s Soldiers, and his last drama Confession. His passion and talent for acting earned him the Grand Prize (Daesang) for his 2010 movie My Girlfriend is an Agent, as well as numerous other awards. He was a humanist who brought light and life to those around him. He was full of energy, and a master of his craft. He was passionate and dedicated to his craft, as well as kind, funny, and humble. His passing has left a tremendous void in the lives of those who knew and loved him. He will be remembered and mourned by his family, friends, and fans around the world. May his memory continue to be a blessing.
