Kalabhavan Mani (1971-2016) passed away on March 6, 2016 in Kochi, Kerala at the age of 45. He was an established actor, singer, mimicry artist, and composer in the Malayalam film industry. Having started his career in 1990, Mani went on to win numerous awards including the Kerala State Film Award, Asianet Film Award, Filmfare Award, and Vanitha Film Award for best actor. He was also widely respected for his philanthropic work. In the later years of his career, Mani established himself as a talented playback singer and was particularly noted for his folk music. He released several successful albums, such as 'Vismaya Nrithamum,' 'Kuruthola Kurumbulla' and 'Kuttam Pokum.' Mani was highly influential in the Kerala media and widely praised for his humanitarian works in the fields of education and health, which he funded through his own charity foundation 'Kala Sahaytmii'. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by family, friends, and fans across the world.
