Julie Powell (1973-2022) passed away on October 26, 2022, at the age of 49. A native of Tiburon, California, Julie was a beloved member of the community and leaves behind many cherished friends and acquaintances. Julie graduated from UC Berkeley in 1995, majoring in finance. She was a strong believer in the power of education and was proud to be part of the university community for so many years. Following college, Julie secured a prestigious position of financial advisor at a major investment firm. She was reliable, hard working, and passionate about her work—and formed many strong relationships with her coworkers throughout her career. In her free time, Julie enjoyed reading, playing tennis, and spending time with her family and friends. She will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved her.
