John Forsythe, the beloved American actor and director, passed away on April 1, 2010 at the age of 92. John was born on January 29, 1918, in Pennsylvania. He began his acting career in the 1940s, appearing in films, stage productions and on television. He starred in the Broadway production of Edward Albee’s “Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf?” in 1962. John is best known for his role as the unseen millionaire oil magnate, Blake Carrington, in “Dynasty,” the popular nighttime soap opera. He also appeared in the “Charlie’s Angels” television series and its spin-offs, as well as other television series and films. John was a five-time Emmy Award nominee and was inducted into the Television Hall of Fame in 1995. He received a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Screen Actors Guild in 1999. John is survived by his wife, Nicole, and his three children, Brooke, Cristina, and Franklin. He will be deeply missed.
