John Coltrane (1926-1967) passed away in 1967 on July 17. Coltrane was recognized as one of the most important and influential jazz musicians in history, pioneering the genre of free jazz and changing the face of jazz forever. Coltrane was born in North Carolina in 1926, and soon discovered a love of music at a young age. Throughout his career, he played numerous instruments including saxophone, piano, bass, and drums. He collaborated with artists such as Miles Davis, Max Roach, and Thelonious Monk and released many influential albums such as "Giant Steps" and "A Love Supreme". Coltrane's influence touched many people through his music, and he was highly respected by all of the artists who worked with him. He will be remembered and loved by music fans all over the world.
