Jill Ireland, best known for her roles in a number of films and television, passed away on May 18th 1990 at the age of 54. Her career began with small roles in various British television shows, including Parts of the World in 1962. She eventually found success in films such as The Great Escape, from which she was famously cut. From there, she went on to star in cult classic films such as The Valachi Papers, The Protectors, Murder on the Orient Express, and several Bond movies. Of her personal life, she is remembered for her marriage to actor Charles Bronson, and her charitable work with variety of organizations, particularly those related to the fight against breast cancer. Jill Ireland is survived by her father, four sons, and two granddaughters. She will be remembered as an actor with tremendous range and a kind, compassionate woman.
