On November 19, 2022, Jason David Frank, age 49, passed away at his residence. Jason was best known for his role as Tommy Oliver in the Power Rangers franchise, appearing in over 200 episodes of the show and in several feature films from 1993 to 2021. Jason began his martial arts career at the age of 4 and would go on to hold a fifth-degree black belt in taekwondo, as well as black belts in judo, karate, kempo, and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. He was also an MMA and boxing competitor, and commentator for the SportFight Championship and the International Fight League. He went on to become an advocate for STEM education, and starred in several educational films including “My Trip to the Beach” (2001), and “Tips for Successful Science Fair Projects” (2013). In addition, Frank worked as a stuntman for several feature films and commercial projects. During his career, he also met with several U.S. presidents, including Presidents Barack Obama and Donald Trump. Jason is survived by his wife, Tammie, his two sons, Jeremy and Tyler, and his two daughters, Madison and Amber. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends, fans, and all those whose lives he touched over the years. May his memory be eternal.
