Janet Leigh, beloved actress and mother of Jamie Lee Curtis, passed away peacefully in her home on October 3, 2004, at the age of 77. Janet was well known for her acting career spanning over 50 Hollywood films, but most notably her performance as Marion Crane in Alfred Hitchcock’s Psycho (1960). Her performances as an actress earned her a Golden Globe Award, an Emmy Award, and a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Janet was also an accomplished author, publishing several books throughout her lifetime, including her autobiography 'There Really Was a Hollywood' in 1984. Janet is survived by her husband Robert Brandt, her daughter Jamie Lee Curtis, her sons Kelly and Tony Curtis, her daughter-in-law Lisa Curtis, her four grandchildren, and her extended family. Janet will be greatly missed by all who loved her and remembered fondly by countless others.
